The ticket purchaser/holder (” Ticket Holder”) agrees that: (a) Ticket Holder shall not transmit or aid in transmitting any information about the event to which it grants admission, including, but not limited to, any account, description, picture, video, audio, reproduction or other information concerning the event (collectively “Event Information”) that is not within the public domain already; (b) WordCamp Cape Town, its organisers, sponsors and contractors (collectively “WCCT”), shall have the unrestricted right and license to use Ticket Holder’s image, likeness, name, voice, comments or other proprietary or public rights and that of any minor accompanying Ticket Holder in any broadcast, telecast or photograph and/or video and/or audio sound recording taken in connection with the event or other transmission or reproduction in whole or in part of the event, for all purposes, without compensation of any kind whatsoever; and (c) Ticket Holder shall adhere to any additional event rules or regulations that apply.
The Ticket Holder, on behalf of himself or herself and on behalf of any minor accompanying the Ticket Holder to the event: (a) voluntarily assumes all risks incidental to the event, including, without limitation, the risk of lost, stolen or damaged property or personal injury; (b) waives, releases, and discharges WCCT and its organisers, sponsors and contractors from any and all negligence and liability for Ticket Holder’s death, disability, personal injury, property damages, property theft or claims of any nature which may accrue to Ticket Holder as a direct or indirect result of Ticket Holder’s participation in the above referenced event; and (c) agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WCCT, its organisers, sponsors and contractors from and against any and all claims, suits, damages, and liabilities of any nature including all costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees, which in any manner result from Ticket Holder’s attendance and/or actions during this event.
WCCT may revoke this license and eject or refuse entry to the Ticket Holder for violation of venue rules, illegal activity, misconduct or failure to comply with any and all security measures without refund or any portion of the ticket price. The Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the purchase of this ticket from anyone other than the WCCT website or its designated agents. This ticket may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests or sweepstakes), or other trade or commercial purposes without the express prior written consent of WCCT.
The Ticket Holder’s purchase of the event ticket is final and no refunds will be issued on any basis including, but not limited to, the absence, non-appearance and/or non-attendance of the Ticket Holder.
